So yeah, this is like the 3rd post this week from me, but don't get used to it, i just happen to have a little extra time before class today. Also make sure you read the last post and that you respond to it, so i can see what everyone thinks. On my way to school i got passed by this early 90's white truck with an obviously low class driver, was i not doing the speed limit you ask, why no i was doing the limit and was in the correct lane. However what i wasn't doing that made this driver upset and pass me with a mighty rev of his engine was that i was slow starting at all the red to green lights. Basically i was starting off the line slower than everyone else, but the funny thing is that i would get to the next red light at around the same time as the other drivers in my "group".
I have driven this route enough times to know that if you get stuck at one red light you wont make it to the next light while it is still green so i don't even bother trying. But mister "has to speed" didn't seem to feel the same way as i did. I assume that he alsotakes this route fairly often too because he turned into a subdivision on the way. But my thought was even if i didn't know about not being able to make the next light why would i want to race from one light to the other. All it does is 1 waste gas by getting into higher RPMs just to move a little faster at the beginning of moving 2. add more wear and tear to the engine 3 use up your brakes faster due to harder stopping at the next light. 4 wear out the tread on the tires faster from needed additional traction 5 make you look like an idiot as you race around people just to end up with them at the next light 6 get you upset if you don't make the next light and 7 add more pollution into the air because of the bad energy efficiency of your motor at that speed/power ratio. So really i gotta ask is it really worth speeding off the line just so you can end up next to me again at the next light?
So after yesterdays little tiff, i have decided to for give you for being mean to me and making me feel bad. Also as a token of friendship i am doing this blog at the library in a hot cubicle with people all around me, just for you. Not too much is going on right now as far as construction of the site is concerned, i don't have the time to do any major reordering and the only way i will be able to do it is if i take the time on Friday when i get the day off. So i would say if i can't get to the blog before then i will do some renovating on it Friday, so check then for some fun updates. Work is good i got my boss to o.k. me to come in at 6am instead of 4am and the sleep is nice, but i hate knowing that the rest of the crew has gone home at 1 and i have to stay till 3, I guess there is just no pleasing me. Becca has been having odd dreams lately and is having trouble sleeping and i think her sleep problems are bleeding over to me because the last three nights i haven't slept too deeply and end up being tired all day long.
So here is some food for thought for you readers. I have been reading a book about being self sufficient and using your land like a large garden or up to a small farm (5 acres) to provide for most if not all of what a family needs. One of the things it talks about is a making a methane digestor, which in simple terms is a animal waste container that links to a gas container to store the methane gas from the waste, which than can be used to burn for cooking and heating or used in natural gas type engines to power cars and generators. So the question for everyone to think about is,
if you could create enough gas to supply your home cooking and heating, run a generator for all your electrical needs and produce enough natural gas to drive a car around for your work and errands, thus effectively disentangling yourselves from the world energy crisis and price hiking would you be willing to pay the price of installing and converting the equipment and then run a small to medium farm with pigs, cows, horses and the whole lot and everyday go out and get more "fuel" for your methane digestor. Let me know I'm willing to see what everyone thinks.
O.K. fine Dan is right, my site has been under construction for a while now with no noticeable updates or major changes. I have this problem of only being able to connect to the net before class and Becca wants to see me or something so that kinda cuts down on the time i have to use the Internet before i go into my statistics class. So mostly the important things get done like checking my email for important documents, transferring money and looking up school "need to do" items. So blogging takes a back seat. "But don't you have Internet access at your local library?" you ask.Why yes i do,but you weren't supposed to remember that, because now i look like a slacker.....which I'm obviously not..... The problem with the library is that i don't like it, it hot, smelly, uncomfortable and there is not a private corner anywhere next to a wall socket so i really don't like to use the net there unless i really have to."But didn't you say you were going to try to start blogging more often? " you say. To which i reply, that boy are you starting to get on my nerves. YES i said that, but sometimes we say things that we don't really think that we will follow through with. " So your a liar then?" you say. Fine, yes i lied to you. I really don't have any intention of writing more until school starts up again and i have down time between classes, are ya happy now?! Yes, you reply to yourself, because by now i have walked away in disgust.
